Votre Vu co-founder, Chairman and CEO

Referred to by friends and admirers as a renaissance man, a techno force, and a fearless visionary, Harold Zimmerman put all his descriptors into play when founding Votre Vu, a new luxury French skin care company.

A seasoned entrepreneur, Harold ten years ago started a multi-million-dollar consulting company. His plan for a repeat performance? Operate under healthy paranoia. Ignore conventional wisdom. And dance like nobody’s watching. No doubt, he’s a man of action – out to prove with Votre Vu that integrity, talent, and vision do pay off – not only in beautiful skin, but in a head-turning company as well.

I am always searching for...

The person who uses the last sheet of paper towel on the roll, and doesn’t re-fill the roll, arggghhh!

My favorite place to shop is...

Cyberspace. I’ll admit it -- I can’t stand shopping. When I have to shop, I have a mission: Get in. Get out.

The first thing I do when I wake up is...

Tell my seven-year old daughter Grace to turn down the TV. She’s an early riser and likes to blast Sponge Bob early in the morning.

The last thing I do before I go to bed is...

Depends on where I am. I would say that usually I close my laptop, take my big bulky pillow out from behind me, and replace it with my ‘just-right’ pillow. As I get older, I’m very particular about my pillow strategy.

I could never live without...

GREAT MUSIC AND LOTS OF IT!!!!!

I will splurge on…

Conveniences (not to be confused with luxury things). For instance, if I have a choice of parking 2 blocks away, or paying $20 for valet-- I’ll do the valet.

I won’t spend more than $10 on…

Vitamins. Still hooked on Flinstones chewables.

What are you reading?

REALITY CHECK” by Guy Kawasaki

Besides your cup of joe this morning, what was the last item you bought?

Technically it was a song on iTunes. I just got turned on to a new group, “The Bird and the Bee.” They have a joint called “Love Letter to Japan.” It has a Euro-Club kind of a groove.

Going green?

Working on it. Slow-but-sure. I try to recycle as much as possible. I did start to construct the world’s largest windmill to go up in my back yard, but I was afraid it would affect the jet stream—and my family said they would disown me if I put it up, so I had to bag it.

The most embarrassing CD in my collection is…

Monster Booty – (old school hip-hop booty cuts)

Favorite fashion trend of all time…

Hands down-- parachute pants- circa 1980’s
