Toni Canada joined the Elysian Chicago as part of the pre-opening team in February 2008 as Director of Human Resources.  In this position, Toni will play an integral role in the human resources operations and management as well as development and staffing for the hotel.

 

Toni has more than 18 years of experience in the human resource field, creating innovative solutions, developing and implementing company policies and directing employee relations.  


Toni’s experience as a leader and mentor has proven to be a valuable asset to her numerous charitable efforts. She currently serves on the Auxiliary Board of the Art Institute of Chicago, The Costume Council, Service Club of Chicago, the Women’s Board of the American Cancer Society and on the Ascot Ball Committee supporting the English Speaking Union.

 

A native of Michigan, Canada graduated from Hope College in Michigan, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She currently resides in Chicago with her husband Rick. In her “down time” Toni and her husband enjoy checking out new restaurants, antiquing, getting back in to riding horses and continuing to search for the “perfect” piece of land in Michigan to build her dream farm.
