Part brand wizard, part bar-owner, and long-time stationer, it's Jessica Murnane's stylistic up-frontery that allows her to cross genres, hop industries, and straddle styles. It's a careful consideration that's obvious in all of her work. "There's a power in being concise," she says. "In respecting something enough to let it stand on its own."

With clients and designs that run the gamut -- from stationery for tabloid darlings to branding for big-name parties -- the dueling design roles of luxe paper pusher and brand steward have led her to a place where it all just seems to fit.

Enter Suitor -- the perfect hybrid of high-end paper and high-minded personal branding. Its "fine paper for fine introductions" celebrates the genesis moment behind the modern encounter: the meetings between people and the relationships that form in the wake. "We use charm, beauty, wit...as our first-impression standards," says Murnane, "but it's what we leave behind that becomes our living aesthetic."
