Roslyn Dulyapaibul was born and raised in Chicago, IL and graduated with a degree in Textiles and Apparel Management from Cornell University. At Cornell, she was able to study both fashion history and technique along with courses in business marketing which allowed her to delve into both the artistic and business side of the industry. After graduating, she worked as a merchandiser at Abercrombie & Fitch in Columbus, OH and J.Crew in New York for several years before returning to her hometown of Chicago.
Roslyn boutique was established in October 2006 and features collections from both emerging and established designers from NYC, Los Angeles, and Europe. The boutique caters to women seeking lines that are sophisticated with an edge. Roslyn is modeled after a gallery- each collection is highlighted by a framed biography of the designer, describing the history of the label as well as the vision for the season (inspired by a visit to the Met in NYC a couple years ago). No more than four pieces of each style is offered to assure exclusivity. A focused assortment is also available for men who are searching for clothes that are best described as refined casual. A rustic interior is created with dark, polished hardwood floors, an exposed brick wall running the length of the store, antiques scattered throughout the space, industrial palettes used as furniture, and filament light bulbs illuminating the cash wrap area.
